EthCC-1

Every summer, the European Web3 community gathers on the French Riviera for one of the most anticipated events in the calendar. If you are planning to attend EthCC 2026, this guide will help you prepare with clarity and confidence. The Spectrum team will also be on the ground in Cannes, and we have put this together to help teams make the most of the week.

When Is EthCC 2026? Official Dates and Schedule

Organised by Ethereum France, EthCC will be held between 30 March to 2 April 2026 and it is expected to attract thousands of attendees. Although the main conference runs across these 4 days, one should expect a wider programme of side events, community gathering, technical workshops, private investor meetups and ecosystem specific events taking place throughout EthCC week.

Often, Many teams arrive early and leave late in order to take full advantage of the momentum.

We suggest that if you are travelling with colleagues, you should align your arrival and departure with the broader EthCC week rather than just the main stage programme, to make the most out of the event.

EthCC 2026 Location in Cannes

EthCC Cannes is hosted at the iconic Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. For context, this is the same venue that hosts the Cannes Film Festival, which gives the event a distinctive atmosphere. Therefore, as one should expect, the EthCC location offers large auditoriums, breakout rooms and exhibition space within walking distance of the seafront.

Cannes itself is compact and easy to navigate on foot. The old town, Le Suquet, offers quieter streets and panoramic views, while the Croisette runs along the coastline and is lined with hotels, restaurants and cafés where many informal meetings take place. During EthCC week, you will see branded pop-ups, rooftop gatherings and side events taking place all across the city. One should note that the central location of the Palais des Festivals means you are never far from the action.

How to Travel to EthCC from Nice Airport

The main international gateway for EthCC Cannes is Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. It is located around 30 kilometres from the hosting city and serves direct flights from most major European cities.

With regards to transportation from Nice Airport to Cannes, you have several options.

  • Taxi or ride share: This is the fastest and most convenient option, and the journey typically takes between 30 and 45 minutes depending on traffic.
  • Train: You can take a tram from the airport to Nice Saint Augustin station and then board a regional train to Cannes. Trains run frequently and the journey is reliable.
  • Airport transfer services: Often many teams choose to pre-book transfers, especially if travelling with equipment or a larger group.

It is worth noting that during EthCC 2026 dates, demand increases significantly, and therefore we suggest booking transport in advance and allow extra time, especially if you have scheduled meetings on arrival.

Hotels and Accommodation Near EthCC

Accommodation planning is one of the most important aspects of preparing for EthCC 2026. Hotels close to the Palais des Festivals tend to sell out early and prices rise as EthCC dates approach.

When searching for EthCC hotels, consider the following areas:

  • La Croisette: If location is a priority, this area is excellent as it is the closest to the venue and therefore ideal for networking. Due to its location, one should expect higher hotel prices during EthCC week.
  • Cannes City Centre: This area is a good balance between cost and convenience, offering many boutique hotels and apartments.
  • Le Suquet: Here one should expect more charm and a slightly quiet environment. Additionally it is only a short 10 to 15 minutes walk to the venue.

Some teams also choose to stay in nearby towns such as Antibes or Juan les Pins and commute by train or taxi. This can reduce accommodation costs but adds daily travel time, which may not be ideal. Furthermore, if you are sending a larger delegation, renting an apartment may be ideal as it provides shared space for informal team debriefs after EthCC events.

EthCC Side Events and EthCC Week

One of the defining features of EthCC week is the density and diversity of side events taking place across Cannes.

Alongside the main conference at the Palais des Festivals, the wider EthCC programme will include a wide range of independent gatherings organised by protocols, research groups, infrastructure providers and community teams. Some events focus on serious industry discussions, while others are designed to bring the community together in more relaxed settings.

For example, one of this year’s side events is a community 5K run along the Cannes waterfront happening on the 30th of March 2026.

During this year’s EthCC week, together with HackSeason, Spectrum is proud to be co-hosting the Mixer Cannes event, where our CEO Matthew Felice Pace will also be speaking. Events such as this bring together builders, infrastructure teams and founders for informal discussions outside the main conference schedule. Additionally, one should expect that new EthCC events will be announced gradually as the conference approaches, and often, they would be advertised on the events section of the EthCC website.

Obviously, the EthCC conference itself will offer a mix of:

  • Developer workshops
  • Founder and investor meetups
  • Academic and research focused summits
  • Community runs and social activities
  • Protocol specific ecosystem gatherings
  • Private partner events and technical discussions

We highly encourage you to plan your schedule carefully as EthCC week moves quickly, and overcommitting can dilute your focus. Therefore, you should identify the EthCC events most relevant to your protocol, product or infrastructure stack and prioritise depth over volume.
